In today’s globalising world, Cultures and Identities increasingly blend as people migrate. Often, this unfamiliar change can lead to tension and misunderstanding. Éire Echoes is an interactive sound system that aims to draw attention to subconscious bias towards accents and culture, fostering empathy through active listening, viewed through the lens of Irish accents. Inspired by the Irish landscape, these omnidirectional speakers pay homage to the solitary round towers and lighthouses scattered across the island. When brought together, they form a connected landscape reminiscent of the Giant’s Causeway.
