5th of June 2025 I graduated as a Surface Designer. This after two years studying at YRGO in Gothenburg, Sweden. The Yrgo program is unique in kind because of the diversity of softwares and deeper knowledge of the profession that the students get. During two years of studying we have unlimited access to Alias Autodesk, Icem Surf, Catia V5, VRED, Blender and Photoshop. The program also includes six full months of internship. I myself got to spend those months at Volvo Cars, being part of their Interior Class-A team. During my internship at Volvo I got a broad insight of what it means to work as a Surface Designer. I got to be part of the dashboard group, where I joined their day to day work. Meaning I was given real tasks and got to tag along on meetings with both Designers and Engineers. As my time at Volvo went on I worked more and more directly with Studio Engineers and Designers, being tasked with more projects such as creating design studies and modelling independent interior details. I am deeply thankful for my time spent at such a great company. Getting an insight into the work behind a Volvo is really an experience I take with me for life. Combining design with practical solutions and safety at its finest is really honorable. As a deeply passionate car lover I hope to find a job within the Automotive industry even though I keep the door open for other opportunities. Most of my time is spent in Icem and Alias, meaning I find no problem in taking on a job in either software. Other than education and work I am a married woman and mom of two, who adores spending time with my family. No matter if it's a family picnic at the park, another house building project (read reparation) or if it’s late night gaming with my husband and our friends. All my life I have always stayed close to creativity, whether by my own hands or on the computer. As a part time business I create and sell clay sculptures and art, to customers all over the world.
