Location : Munich, Bavaria, Germany (On-site) 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • 3D Modeling: Create high-quality, accurate 3D models that align with design intent and engineering specifications. 
  • Problem Solving: Advise and propose solutions to address design and engineering challenges. 
  • Collaboration: Maintain close synergy between design, modeling, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive project execution. 
  • Regulatory Compliance: Consider engineering and design requirements, as well as legal regulations, in an independent and focused manner. 
  • Data Compilation: Compile data from team members to support engineering needs and milling activities. 
  • Project Management: Utilize project management skills to coordinate input and output between design and engineering teams. Lead project teams (internal or external) as necessary. 
  • Task Planning: Create detailed task and resource plans when required (LEAD). 
  • Issue Management: Escalate issues to the next level as necessary (LEAD). 
  • Presentations: Prepare CAS presentations to a predefined standard. 
  • Managerial Support: Act as a substitute for the respective manager in Design Team Consultations (DTCs), design reviews, and other meetings as needed. 
  • Surface Quality Assurance: Ensure that surface quality meets AVATR requirements for the relevant project phase. 
  • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required. 
  • Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Education: Degree or equivalent in Automotive/Industrial Design or Engineering. 
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus. 
  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in a global automotive context, preferably with OEMs. 
  • Technical Skills: 
  • Expert knowledge in Autodesk Alias required, Maya or SubD is a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Grasshopper, Blender, or rendering/VR software is a plus. 
  • High proficiency in modeling and delivering the highest surface quality. 
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills with proven experience in leading project teams and projects. 
  • Interpersonal Skills: Self-confidence and professionalism in collaborating with colleagues and partners. 
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and visual communication skills. 
  • Work Ethic: Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Time Management: Ability to deliver under tight time constraints. 
  • Responsibility: Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
