Key Responsibilities
The Lead Hard Modeler will:
- Spearhead projects to build design prototypes, including full-size models, ergonomic studies, and show cars
- Collaborate with the paint team on part preparation and surfacing
- Maintain impeccable workshop cleanliness and organization
- Work within tight tolerances to achieve precise surface finishes
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Expertise in operating standard shop machinery safely
- Extensive experience with hand tools and their safe usage
- Exceptional craftsmanship skills
- Flexibility to work varied hours to meet Design Team deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Additional valuable skills include:
- Experience in complete show car builds
- Proficiency with automotive spray paint equipment
- CAD skills
- Automotive industry background
- At least 4 years of experience in a workshop environment
