About the project

MG Canelas is a reinterpretation of a historic Portuguese race car, rooted in local motorsport culture and the spirit of resilience. Inspired by the original MG-based vehicle that once competed on national circuits, Canelas pays tribute to a lesser-known yet proud chapter of Portugal’s automotive history. Compact, agile, and full of character, it blends vintage racing DNA with a minimalist design approach—bringing back the soul of a car made to be driven, felt, and remembered.
