I’m excited to finally share my Unreal Engine renders of the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato 2024.
This project, completed almost a year ago during a formative program at Infinity Reply, was my first full rendering experience in Unreal Engine 5 and took around 200 hours spread over several months.
Guided by CAVE Academy’s Real-Time Automotive Rendering course with Paul Eliasz, I followed a professional car-rendering workflow and switched to Path Tracing to achieve the highest visual quality.
Key skills developed through this project:
Lighting exterior environments with CGI Background HDRIs
Fine-tuning Unreal Engine render settings for optimal quality and performance
Building immersive environments with Megascan assets
Creating advanced Substrate materials, especially custom car paint with realistic flakes, accurate base color, and detailed clear-coat
This project significantly deepened my understanding of Unreal Engine and inspired me to tackle more complex automotive work, including the Monza Ferrari SF25 animation.
