About the project
Axys is born from the vision of a perfectly symmetrical motorcycle, where every element at the front finds its counterpart at the rear. This balance begins with the mechanics — from the engine to the suspension — and extends down to the smallest detail. The components are deliberately exposed, designed to be admired, while fairings and structures emphasize this harmony. Analog instrumentation, featuring carbon-fiber dials and mechanical hands, adds a timeless touch of elegance. The ergonomic triangle, inspired by Land Speed motorcycles, combined with elongated proportions, creates a silhouette that is both aerodynamic and harmonious, even without fairings. Horizontally sectioned panels and precisely cut aero-discs accentuate a sense of endless horizontality, reinterpreting the language of salt-flat record cars through motorcycle proportions. Its retro-futuristic character merges the minimalist elegance of 1950s–60s racing bikes, such as the 1958 Parilla 250 Gran Sport, with cutting-edge materials and advanced engineering, transforming each component into a piece of functional art. At the core lies a monocoque frame that unites structural efficiency with sculptural design. The integrated fuel tank lowers the center of gravity and creates an almost perfectly straight top line, reinforcing the theme of horizontality. A longitudinal boxer engine ensures symmetry and keeps the profile compact, enhancing both balance and aerodynamic performance. To manage the thermal challenges of this configuration, airflow becomes part of the design itself: the hollow fork acts as a dynamic intake feeding the airbox, while the swingarm integrates the exhaust system, channeling gases internally and eliminating the need for an external silencer. This solution preserves a clean, slim side view while optimizing flow efficiency. The suspension system — with a quadrilateral articulated fork and single-sided swingarm — was chosen not only for performance, but also to embody the guiding principles of symmetry and horizontality that define Axys. Axys is more than a motorcycle: it is a dialogue between speed, design, and engineering — a vision suspended between past and future, where every line and mechanism speaks the language of precision, innovation, and infinity.
