Infiniti Prototype 10 Concept 1/3 Scale Model Making

About the project

Bringing the Infiniti P10 Concept to life in a 1/3 scale model was a project that combined precision craftsmanship with digital expertise. The goal was to create a high-quality model for the studio showroom that captured every curve and surface of the original design. Starting from the Alias A-surface data, I developed all the B-surface geometry, ensuring that every transition and proportion stayed true to the design intent. Once the digital model was complete, I designed and built a full set of jigs and fixtures to support the machining process. The main body was then CNC milled from high-density model board, achieving both accuracy and a refined surface quality. Each part was carefully programmed through CAD-CAM and complemented with components produced using rapid prototyping techniques. This process was not just about building a model, but about translating a digital vision into a tangible form one that could be experienced, evaluated, and admired in the physical space of the showroom.
