EVOLVE

This projects aim was to investigate the viability of sustainable materials as an alternative to traditional materials used in the automotive industry, focusing on seating design. The most crucial factor to show is how sustainable materials can benefit the industry and see a slow shift towards these changes in the future. The project will review relevant case studies relating to material testing and material research to evaluate whether these materials are beneficial. To accompany the case study research, design iterations were developed using sketches and CAD software to enhance the design iteration process. These sketches and design processes will then evaluate the practical integration of said materials by aligning material properties with functional and aesthetic constraints.
