Position Overview

Pininfarina of America Corp. is seeking a talented Interior Designer with experience in high-end contemporary architecture and interior design. This is an immediate, hands-on position in a collaborative work environment at our Miami office.

We are looking for someone with strong graphics, digital modeling, AutoCAD, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Experience with integrated architectural and interior design projects is a major advantage.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead the design process from concept to completion, ensuring ideas are realized and delivered to the highest standard.

· Develop interior design concepts for a range of project typologies.

· Create and manage design concepts that can be quickly translated into 3D models for evaluation.

· Oversee all phases of design, from conceptual to schematic design, with a strong focus on design development, construction documents, permit processing, and construction administration.

· Develop and deliver graphic presentations and design documentation for various fields, including architectural interiors, nautical design, and transportation design.

· Ensure quality control throughout the design and production process with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

· Collaborate closely with clients, challenging project briefs and setting creative ambitions.

· Maintain a project specification book as both a working and archival document.

· Research and select materials for projects, including full FF&E packages for commercial interiors.

· Mentor and support team members throughout the design process.

Key Areas of Focus

· Interior Design Development:

o Concept/style development.

o Color palette development.

o Interior finish material selection.

o Furniture, fabric, fixture, and equipment selection.

· Project Management:

o Time management for self, team, and project schedules.

· Design & Materials Expertise:

o Experience with lighting design, custom fixtures, interior detailing, and custom FF&E specifications.

o Knowledge of value engineering processes.

o Expertise in spec writing and software for finishing schedules, lighting, plumbing, and more.

Requirements

· 5+ years of relevant design experience in commercial interiors.

· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Master’s degree preferred).

· Interior Designer certification/license preferred.

· Strong aesthetic, design, and technical sensibilities.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino, Enscape/TwinMotion, InDesign, and Photoshop (knowledge of Revit, 3D Studio Max, V-ray is a plus).

· Excellent writing, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

· Fluency in English (Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian is a plus).
