Pininfarina of America is seeking a talented Interior Designer with a passion for high-end, contemporary architectural and interior design. This is an immediate, full-time, in-office role based in Miami, offering an exciting opportunity to work within a collaborative, fast-paced, and creative team environment.

Position Overview

We are looking for a proactive designer with strong graphic, digital modeling, and AutoCAD skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Experience with integrated architectural-interior projects is highly preferred. This role demands both creative leadership and precision in execution throughout the entire design lifecycle—from concept to construction administration.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage interior design concepts from initial ideation to final execution

  • Develop innovative design proposals across diverse project types

  • Translate design concepts into 3D models for rapid evaluation and refinement

  • Manage the complete design process including schematic design, construction documentation, and permit processing

  • Ensure quality control and design consistency across phases

  • Create graphic presentations and technical documentation for projects in architecture, transportation, and nautical design

  • Collaborate closely with clients, offering strategic design direction and consultation

  • Maintain accurate project specification books

  • Source and specify FF&E packages and interior finish materials

  • Mentor junior designers and provide creative guidance


Key Focus Areas

Interior Design Development

  • Style and concept ideation

  • Color palette and material selection

  • Specification of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment

Project Management

  • Schedule management for project phases and team members

Design & Materials Expertise

  • Proficiency in lighting design, custom detailing, and FF&E packages

  • Understanding of value engineering in high-end interior projects

  • Experience in writing detailed specifications and working with finishing schedules, lighting, plumbing, and related documentation


Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial interior design

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (Master’s preferred)

  • Interior Design license/certification strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated aesthetic excellence and technical design ability

  • Proficient in:

    • AutoCAD, Rhino

    • InDesign, Photoshop

    • Enscape or TwinMotion (Revit, 3ds Max, and V-Ray are a plus)

  • Exceptional written, presentation, and problem-solving skills

  • Fluent in English; Portuguese, Spanish, or Italian is a plus
