Color & Materials Designer

Job Responsibilities 

1. Trend Analysis & Reserve Design: Analyze interior and exterior color and material design trends and lead related design reserve projects to support brand innovation and future planning.

2. Full-Vehicle CMF Design: Execute color and material (CMF) design tasks for the entire vehicle, including both interior and exterior components.

3. Technical Coordination: Address and coordinate general technical issues encountered throughout the CMF development process for vehicles.

4. Supplier Communication & Development: Engage in technical communication with material suppliers for synchronized development of color and material solutions.

5. Knowledge Management: Participate in the creation and maintenance of design knowledge systems, including CMF design summaries, guidelines, and documentation for internal use.

Job Requirements for CMF Designer

1. Strong Color Sensitivity & Trend Awareness: Demonstrated keen color sense and advanced analytical skills to identify and apply design trends in automotive CMF.

2. Design Process Knowledge: Familiarity with the industrial design development process for vehicle exteriors, interiors, and related components, as well as CMF-specific workflows.

3. Manufacturing Process Understanding: Knowledge of production constraints related to automotive color and material applications, including finish, texture, and feasibility.

4. Problem Solving & Communication: Excellent logical thinking, coordination skills, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams and with suppliers.

5. Language Proficiency: Good English proficiency (spoken and written) preferred; ability to communicate in a global work environment is a plus.
