We are currently seeking Advanced Color & Materials Creative Designer with a variety of backgrounds and experience levels to work in our Design Studio. This position is responsible for supporting production exterior & interior color and trim corporate strategies regarding automotive color and material initiatives, including cost, complexity, and feasibility. The Creative Designer will design and propose advanced color and materials to support vehicle design exterior and interior studios, production programs, and lifestyle packages. They will design, develop, and coordinate colors, materials, and textures for specified vehicles, as well as sustainable materials. They will create consumer product inspiration guides and supporting the color and materials team with research, new technology discoveries, and innovative solutions. The selected candidate will document, coordinate, and manage new color and materials required to support production, post-production, advanced interior model builds, and concept car programs. The Creative Designer will conduct research and analysis of the competitive landscape and emerging trends. The selected candidate will also research and maintain a competitive materials sample library.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field of study
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Strong presentation and design communication skills
  • Must possess an exceptional awareness of the global state of automotive design concepts and emerging design trends
  • Must submit portfolio along with application to be considered a viable candidate for the position on
  • Must pass the Munsell or Colorcurve HVC color vision test.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years Color and Materials Design experience working within the Automotive Industry or CMF Design Industry. This includes demonstrating experience in the research, creation, presenting of CMF with strong knowledge in sustainable materials and emerging technologies
