After graduating from Art Center College's European campus, Jacob began his career at Renault, where he contributed to defining projects like the Sport Spider and the Laguna II. He later moved to Volkswagen, where he helped establish Audi's advanced design studio in Munich, contributing to early designs of models like the Audi A1 and A5. His work with BMW was particularly transformative; he headed BMW's i sub-brand, where he led the design of the iconic i3 and i8, vehicles that set new standards in the electric vehicle space. Jacob later co-founded Byton and took on VP roles at Nio, deepening his experience in the EV sector and shaping the design vision of emerging automotive brands.

GAC has steadily elevated its design quality over recent years, particularly through its concept vehicles that showcase cutting-edge aesthetics and innovative engineering. A pivotal contributor to this rise is GAC's Advanced Design Studio in Milan, helmed by Stephan Janin, a former Renault designer. Under Janin's leadership, the Milan studio has produced a series of bold concept cars that have gained international acclaim, blending European styling influences with GAC's forward-thinking vision. From futuristic lines to innovative use of materials, Janin's team has set a new standard for Chinese automotive design, positioning GAC as a brand that combines both creativity and sophistication. The Milan studio's work has not only helped GAC make a statement on the global stage but also aligns perfectly with Benoit Jacob's approach to high-quality, sustainable, and groundbreaking design. Together, these design powerhouses are set to push GAC's aesthetic and technological frontiers even further.
