The all-new Jeep Compass marks a bold evolution of a global success story, blending timeless brand cues with contemporary innovation.
Since its initial release in 2006, the Compass has earned its place in the highly competitive C-segment, with over 2.5 million units sold globally. The latest generation builds on this legacy with a design that redefines modern Jeep identity while staying true to its rugged DNA.
Developed in Italy under the direction of Daniele Calonaci in collaboration with Jeep’s U.S. design center, the vehicle embodies a transatlantic design approach. Built on the Stellantis STLA Medium platform—engineered specifically for electrified powertrains in C and D segments—the Compass offers a future-ready stance with electrification integrated into its very architecture.
Visually, the design is characterized by squared volumes, strong horizontal lines, and a confident, upright posture. Key Jeep identifiers such as the seven-slot grille, trapezoidal wheel arches, and reinforced body elements have been preserved and refined. Every surface has been sculpted to emphasize structural solidity while remaining visually balanced and aerodynamic.
Functional design elements are seamlessly integrated into the exterior. The modular anti-scratch shield and reinforced bumpers enhance protection across varied environments, while a newly repositioned radar sensor has been discreetly incorporated to reduce vulnerability in tight or rugged terrain. These design decisions reflect a clear alignment between aesthetic and engineering priorities.
The Compass introduces six exterior color options inspired by natural landscapes, each selected to evoke distinct emotional and geographic associations. Inside, the cabin architecture features a clean digital interface with a 10-inch instrument cluster and a 16-inch infotainment screen. The layout prioritizes user experience, combining clarity, connectivity, and precision.
Advanced features such as Level 2 autonomous driving, OTA updates, head-up display, semi-automatic lane change, and LED matrix headlights are available across the range, establishing a new benchmark for technology in the segment.
This generation of the Compass demonstrates how thoughtful, heritage-rooted design can evolve to meet the needs of a rapidly changing automotive landscape—without losing its soul.
